Occupying two uptown buildings headed for demolition, a change for Goodyear Arts: a long-term home. The arts residency/events program is headed to Camp North End in June. With more than 20,000 square feet of space, a separate 2,000 square foot gallery, and an "outdoor sculpture lawn," Goodyear Arts firmly plants itself inside the the 75-acre site. The group signed a rent-free 3-year lease with ATCO Properties & Management, which owns Camp North End.

Developer ATCO bought 72 acres of real estate late last year. They’ve been fairly quiet so far about what they’re calling “Camp North End” — but now they’re starting to outline their plan to anchor Charlotte’s burgeoning North End.
Just north of uptown, the shock troops of change and redevelopment are moving into new territory.
Dubbed Charlotte’s North End, years’ worth of visions drawn up by planners are on the cusp of coming to life, as developers start to move forward on big swaths of land roughly running north from uptown along Statesville Avenue and Tryon Street up to Atando Avenue:
