H. Dale Hemmerdinger is President of The Hemmerdinger Corporation, a real estate ownership and development company based in New York City. The Hemmerdinger Corporation owns various properties and several service subsidiaries including – Atco Properties & Management, Inc., Atco Property Services Corporation, Atco Supply Company, and Atco Construction Company. Mr. Hemmerdinger also serves as Chairman of the Board of Atlas Real Estate Funds, Inc., which is a partnership investing in publicly traded real estate trusts both long and short. Mr. Hemmerdinger is a licensed New York state real estate broker as well.
Mr. Hemmerdinger is a Board Member of Valley National Bank, and was formerly Commissioner of the City of New York on the Conciliation and Appeals Board, appointed by Mayor Koch and approved by the New York City Council.
Mr. Hemmerdinger is a Trustee of New York University, Chairman of its Alumni Relations Committee and Public Affairs Committee; a Trustee of the New York City Police Foundation (serving as Secretary/Treasurer); an Executive Vice President of the Realty Foundation of New York; an Executive Committee member of the Association for a Better New York; a Partner of New York City Partnership; a Trustee of the Manhattan Institute and Chairman of the Citizens Budget Committee.
A graduate of Riverdale Country School, Mr. Hemmerdinger received his B.A. and studied for an M.A. at New York University.
Mr. Hemmerdinger is married and resides in New York City.
